FIELD: heating water; heating living spaces and production areas; supplying hot water for domestic services. SUBSTANCE: boiler has shell in form of water jacket framing furnace and gas duct space; shell is provided with hollow heat-exchanger element forming closed heat-transfer agent loop together with cavity of water jacket. L-shaped-exchange element having varying cross section is used for dividing interior of boiler into furnace and gas duct space of fuel combustion products. Hatch located in upper portion of water jacket above gas duct space is provided with partition having cut. Hatch is closed with cover with thermal shield which is used for securing the partition which forms labyrinth for passage of gaseous combustion products together with upper portion of heat-exchange element. Volume of boiler, height of hollow portion of heating element, cross sectional area of smoke stack and duct for passage of combustion products at different sections of labyrinth depend on capacity of boiler. EFFECT: intensification of heat exchanger in furnace and gas duct space; enhanced efficiency of boiler without increase of overall dimensions and mass per unit of power; enhanced operational reliability. 3 cl, 4 dwg
