FIELD: heavy-current engineering; cascade explosive magnetic generators for solid state and plasma physics. SUBSTANCE: transformer-generator unit has high-voltage winding and single-turn low-voltage winding. High-voltage winding is placed onto parallel-connected low-voltage winding turns made of strip conductor in the form of sectors whose surface generating lines are parallel to generating line of high-voltage winding surface. Explosive charges with their initiating systems are disposed inside low-voltage winding sectors. After single-turn low-voltage windings are connected to initial energy source such as helical explosive magnetic generator and explosive charge is fired, single-turn windings start moving towards one another and displacing magnetic flux from radial slits between sectors of single-turn low-voltage windings. EFFECT: reduced loss of magnetic flux; enhanced output voltages and electromagnetic energy of transformer. 5 cl, 2 dwg
