FIELD: machine engineering, namely technique for making sliding friction pairs with high wear resistance operating in media with high abrasive properties of mechanical impurities. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming in one end surface of blank of friction pair annular groove with concentric and eccentric steps; filling concentric step of annular groove with hard-alloy burden and eccentric step of annular groove - with other burden, said burdens have different antifriction characteristics; pressing the whole burden and impregnating it by heating blank in protective atmosphere; soaking burden at melting temperature of impregnating material; using for filling steps of annular groove tungsten carbide base burden of the same composition but with different grain size; using smaller grain size burden for filling concentric step of annular groove. EFFECT: enhanced wear resistance of contact surface of end friction pair at operation. 4 cl, 2 dwg
