FIELD: environment control; destruction of organophosphorus chemical weapon and any phosphorus- containing toxic chemicals. SUBSTANCE: wastes subjected to utilization are heated in plasmotron to temperature of 500-6000 C after which titanium is added in any form (powder, sponge, scrap) and mixture is stirred and kept for 0.5 to 60 s. Titanium absorbs fluorine and oxygen atoms forming non-toxic compounds. Plasmochemical decomposition process is conducted in medium which is inert relative to titanium. Then heated product to be subjected to utilization is fed to plasmochemical reactor where product is kept for a definite period time, and homogenization and completion of reactions of forming non-toxic compound take place. Titanium sponge may be additionally fed to plasmochemical reactor for higher ecological safety of process. EFFECT: enhanced ecological safety of utilization process due to avoidance of forming toxic agent in reworking of wastes. 2 cl
