FIELD: heat-power engineering; device for ignition of gas in industrial boilers and furnaces. SUBSTANCE: igniter includes mixing chamber 1 at whose inlet gas supply collector 2 and air supply collector 3 are located. Mounted on mixing chamber is prechamber 4 made in form of circular collector 5 embracing the section of mixing chamber 1 where two rows 6 and 7 of through holes are smoothly distributed in circle. Holes 6 are made at acute angle relative to direction of motion of gas-and-air mixture. Inlet section of mixing chamber 1 is provided with tube 8 having nozzle 9; one end of the this tube is connected with gas supply collector 2 and second end is located in plane of holes 6. Glow plug 10 is fitted opposite to row of holes 7 in prechamber. Gas duct 12 is provided with additional gas and air supply unit made in form of contraction 13 hermetically secured to inner surface of gas duct 12 whose side wall is provided with through holes 14 after contraction 13.
