FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrical ignition and combustion monitoring of standby and pilot burners of flare devices. Igniter comprises confuser, tightly mounted on inner wall of gas duct, forechamber with ignition electrode made coaxially to gas in form of annular header having with common gas duct lengthwise wall and in which has two rows of through holes connecting cavity of forechamber with inlet and outlet sections of mixing chamber located inside gas duct, at inlet of which there is gas-air mixture supply unit. Cavity of annular header to side of inlet section of one row of openings is connected to cavity of confuser, and on side of outlet section of second row of openings is connected to cavity of diffuser, tightly secured on inner wall of gas duct, wherein diameters of holes in the confuser are selected to stabilize flame, and diameters of holes in diffuser are chosen from condition, which prevents flame stabilisation on them. Flame sensor is built into forechamber cavity.
EFFECT: higher reliability of ignition and monitoring of availability of flame.
