FIELD: vacuum condensation deposition of coats on metal and metal- containing surfaces of backing by thermal evaporation of multicomponent materials. SUBSTANCE: process includes laser action with scanning luminous flux on melting pots with components of materials to be evaporated heated by resistive source by turns with the aid of multi-element focusing matrix and on surface of backing with value of specific volume energy contribution of laser radiation equal to W2= (0,15...0,20)W1, where is specific volume energy contribution of laser radiation to evaporation of components of materials of coat; Ci is specific hear capacity; mi = Sδiγi is specific mass; S is thickness of coat; δi is volume content of component in coat; γi is specific weight of component; Ti is evaporation temperature of component; Tнi is temperature of heating of component by resistive source; n is number of components in deposited coat. EFFECT: diminished porosity of coat, increased adhesive and cohesive strength of material of coats, corrosion resistance and wear-out of article, improved control over residual intensity in coat. 1 dwg
