FIELD: deposition of coats on metal and metal-carrying surfaces. SUBSTANCE: process consists in laser action on deposited material at angle α>π/4 with surface of backing at distance between front edge of scanned light spot of laser radiation and center of section of spot of plasma action along line of movement of workpiece x=(0.25-0.5) D, where D is diameter of plasmoid on surface of workpiece with value of specific volumetric energy contribution of laser radiation W2=(0.5-1.0)W1, where W1=0.9 cm(T1-Th) is specific volumetric energy contribution of plasma flux; c is specific heat capacity; m=δγ is specific mass; δ is thickness of coat; γ is specific weight of coat; T1 is temperature of melting of material of coat, Th is temperature of heating. Pulse-periodic feed of powder is conducted with pause duration providing for loss-free transmission of energy in plasmoid. EFFECT: diminished porosity and level of residual stress of coat, increased adhesive and cohesive strength, raised corrosion and wear resistance of articles. 1 dwg
