FIELD: equipment for applying coatings by plasma sputtering. SUBSTANCE: plasma gun may be used for applying strengthened coating onto metallic and metal containing surfaces of products. Plasma gun has -shaped housing closed by means of two lateral covers supporting subsidiary anodes with dielectric substrates and subsidiary cathodes. Subsidiary anodes restrict nozzle with rectangular cross section opening. Anode includes two symmetrically arranged (relative to plane of motion of flat plasma cluster) plasma electrodes formed by sliding electric discharge occurring between jammed anode and subsidiary cathode and distributing along surface of dielectric substrate. The last is cooled by means of water heat exchanger. Powder mass is heated by means of laser irradiation in plane of touching of powder mass and said substrate. EFFECT: increased useful life period of plasma gun, enhanced efficiency. 2 dwg
