FIELD: estimation of damage by means of elastic vibrations of single-axle structures. SUBSTANCE: local zone is fixed on structure by rigid interconnection of ends of this zone then local zone is moved along structure within section being monitored, after which elastic vibrations are excited by means of harmonic force at constant amplitude and frequency; amplitude of vibration of structure proper is measured at constant points distributed on different sides from section being monitored; presence of deflects is judged from measured amplitude. Presence of defects and their position are judged from presence and location of local zones characterized by step changes in amplitudes of vibrations being excited. EFFECT: enhanced productivity; reduced probability of damage to structure in the course of monitoring; extended functional capabilities of method. 1 dwg
