FIELD: medicine; medical engineering. SUBSTANCE: method involves pumping cord envelope produced from closely woven fabric and fixed on patient back. The patient is set in vertical position by pumping air in supporting member of greater pressure until the back straightens. Then the pressure is released by 1/10 to enable one to change pressure due to extremities bending in articulations. The device has supporting member, fixing members and flexible tie- rods with clamps. The also device has cord envelope as tube with pneumatic valves. The fixing members are produced as collars fixed on the sides of the cord envelope. EFFECT: reduced device mass; easy operation control done by patient. 8 cl, 7 dwg
