FIELD: medicine, intensive therapy and neurosurgery. SUBSTANCE: method involves carrying out the standard therapy in additional combination with aspisol infusion into internal carotid artery in therapeutic dose 100 mg dissolved in 50 ml of physiological solution at the rate 0.3472 mg/min in continuous regime. Administration is carried out for 10-14 days. Method results to the enhanced efficiency of decrease of brain edema by inhibition of cyclooxygenase synthesis of prostaglandins from arachidonic acid in early period of treatment. Invention can be used for treatment of patients with progressing brain edema arising as a result of craniocerebral trauma. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment.
