FIELD: powder metallurgy; applicable in manufacture, for instance, of reinforced castings operating under conditions of abrasive wear, for flame-spray hard facing of tools, reconditioning of wear-resistant machine parts, manufacture of sintered articles, etc. SUBSTANCE: method includes heat treatment of lump wastes of hard alloys by heating and cooling in aqueous solution with subsequent mechanical grinding. Heat treatment is carried out by cycles. Heating is carried out to temperature of 750- 850 C, and cooling is effected in 5-15% solution of sodium chloride with solution temperature in course of cooling is maintained of not in excess of 25 C. Number of cycles is selected within 1 to 5 up to attaining alloy compression strength of 500 MPa and below. Lump wastes sizing above 15 mm are crushed in crusher with reciprocating working member, mainly, in jaw crusher. Lump wastes sizing below 15 mm are ground in cone-inertial crusher, with ratio between working cone weight and weight of lump wastes in zone of crushing is selected equaling at least 25.
