FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: zinc technique used to reprocess lump wastes of solid alloys is based on extracting metal binder (nickel or cobalt) into molten zinc followed by stripping off and condensing zinc. Remaining product when disintegrated is fit to manufacture hard-metal tools involving powder metallurgy techniques, whereas condensed zinc is reused for extracting metal binder. Process is carried out in cyclic mode with periodical mechanical removal of reacted layer of hard-metal waste, i.e. with periodic renewal of reacting surface which allows process duration and power consumption to be 2.5 times reduced. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of process.
