ELECTROMAGNETIC SWITCHING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: electrical engineering, low- voltage equipment, design of contactors and starters. SUBSTANCE: electromagnetic switching gear has case, core with pull-in coil, armature installed in casing, shock absorbers located between casing and surface of armature, units of contact cross-pieces joined to casing by common axle, mobile bridge contact units coming in the form of contact bridges with contact straps containing silver and mounted on contact crosspieces, block carrying immobile contact units in the form of contact clamps with upper and lower flanges and contact straps containing silver on upper flanges and return springs. Each immobile contact unit of electromagnetic switching device is fitted with arc-guiding clamp-shaped element that embraces each contact clamp and is made of two clamps and vertical member with two holes. Technical objective of invention consists in design of switching device displaying higher mechanical and switching wear resistance requiring lesser consumption of silver to ensure needed service life, lesser consumption of structural materials, lesser labor input in manufacture of parts and units thanks to adaptability of their structure to manufacture. Design provides for easy access to contact straps of mobile bridge and immobile contacts and to coil of switching device to implement maintenance operations.
