IMMOBILE CONTACT UNIT OF ELECTROMAGNETIC SWITCHING DEVICE Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2170972 C1

FIELD: electrical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to low-voltage equipment and can be used in design of contactors and starters. Immobile contact unit of electromagnetic switching device has arc chute coming in the form of contact clamp with upper and lower flanges placed on block, upper flange carrying contact strap containing silver. Novelty of immobile contact unit lies in its provision with arc clamp-shaped element which embraces contact clamp and comes in the form of two clamps and vertical member with two holes. Clamp-shaped element is mounted for direction of arc into arc chute. Technical result ensured by invention consists in acceleration of drift of arc from contact straps which in its turn leads to increase of switching wear resistance of switching devices in which such immobile units are used, to prolonged time of their repair-free operation and reduced usage of scarce materials containing silver. EFFECT: increased switching wear resistance and prolonged service life of electromagnetic switching devices. 3 cl, 6 dwg
