FIELD: reduction of chloride compounds formed in plants for burning of cement clinker. SUBSTANCE: method includes the following stages: (a) withdrawal of, at least, one part of gases containing chlorides from kiln gas space; (b) supplying of gases to condenser with gas temperature maintained above temperature of chloride compounds condensation; (c) cooling of chloride compounds on condenser cooled condensing surfaces to temperature below condensation point; (d) withdrawal of cleaned gases from condenser; (e) cleaning of condensing surfaces from condensed chloride crystals and removal of chloride crystals from condenser. EFFECT: higher efficiency of method due to production of normal cement and also cement with low content of alkali, and use of raw materials and fuel having high content of chlorides. 10 cl, 1 dwg
