METHOD OF VODKA PRODUCTION Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: liqueur and vodka industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing an aqueous-spirituous solution from rectified ethyl alcohol "Ekstra" and purified drinking water to obtain the proof index 40%. Solution is stirred thoroughly and passed then through carbon-cleansing battery at the rate 40 dal/h and 30 dal/h for fresh carbon and regenerated carbon, respectively. Prepared vodka is fed into finishing tank. Sorbitol, fructose and glycine are dissolved separately in purified water and solutions are added into finishing tank at stirring where propolis tincture is added also. Finishing tank content is stirred, its proof is corrected if necessary and fed to bottling with control filtration. Ready vodka has the following components, kg/1000 dal: sorbitol, 2.8-3.2; fructose, 4.5-5; glycine, 0.09-0.15 and also, l: propolis tincture, 0.04-0.06; rectified ethyl alcohol and purified drinking water, the balance, to obtain the proof index of vodka 40%. EFFECT: broadened assortment, enhanced biological activity, stability at storage of vodka enriched with biologically active substances, high curative-prophylactic properties for patients with diabetes mellitus. 1 tbl
