FIELD: manufacture of thermoelectric devices. SUBSTANCE: set of bar-shaped n-type members made of n- type thermoelectric semiconductor and set of bar-shaped p-type members made of p-type thermoelectric semiconductor are held in regular position by means of insulating layer to form thermocouple unit. End portions of bar-shaped n-type member and those of p-type one are interconnected by means of conductor at upper and lower faces of thermocouple unit so as to produce set of series-connected thermocouples. Pair of conductor leads are produced on surfaces, except for upper surface and lower one 53b that function as interconnecting end surfaces of thermocouple unit; these leads are electrically connected to bar-shaped members at least on one end portion and on other end portion of bar-shaped n- and p-type members interconnected in series.
