FIELD: devices for radiodiagnosis with scanning of the examined object by a narrow beam of X-radiation, applicable in mammography for determining the position of low non-palpable injuries of the mammary gland differing in density and diagnosis of diseases in the early stages. SUBSTANCE: the mammograph has a source of X-radiation based on an X-ray tube, a system of X-ray polycapillar collimating optics-compression unit, a position - sensitive radiation detector of radiation passed through the gland tissue, a scanning unit for synchronous displacement of the mechanically linked radiation source and radiation detector, a system of arrangement of composite gland image according to the results of scanning, and a system of processing and visualization of the composite gland image. The inlet of the X-ray polycapillar collimating optics is focused on the actual focal spot of the source X-ray tube and has a profile similar to the focal spot, and the outlet is directed to the inlet port of the position-sensitive radiation detector and has a profile corresponding to the profile of the inlet port. EFFECT: improved quality of image consisting in improved spatial resolution, enhanced contrast sensitivity, and reduced distortions without any increase of the dose of radiation of the patient. 1 cl, 1 dwg
