FIELD: organic chemistry, pharmacy. SUBSTANCE: invention describes novel individual forms of enantiomers and their mixtures also where one enantiomer of 2-phenyl-1,2-ethanediol carbamates prevails and these enantiomers are presented by structural formula (I) 
where phenyl ring has from one to five atoms of halogen as substituents taken among fluorine, chlorine, bromine or iodine atoms and R1 and R2 mean hydrogen atoms. The above indicated new compounds show effectiveness in treatment of patients with disorders of central nervous system, especially, as anti-convulsing agents.
