Abstract RU 2171896 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: proposed rotary vane engine has housing, cover, rotor with radial slots with fitted in vanes arranged in housing. Inner space of engine is formed by surfaces of two semi-spheres one nested in the other, and provided with common center but different radii, and by diametral plane passing through center of semi-spheres. Larger semi-sphere, with inner working surface, is made in engine housing, and smaller-sphere, with outer working surface in combination with diametral plane are made in cover. Rotor is made in form of truncated ball sector with radial slots passing through axis of ball sector which is axis of rotor rotation. Vertex of rotor ball sector coincides with center of semi-spheres. Surface of larger, outer base of rotor ball sector corresponds to surface of larger semi-sphere, and surface of smaller, inner base of rotor ball sector corresponds to surface of smaller semi-sphere. Axis of rotor rotation forms, together with diametral plane of semi-spheres, angle equal to or exceeding half of vertex angle of rotor ball sector. Vanes are made in form of spherical semi-rings with middle part made in form of plate arcs. Center of spherical semi-rings of vanes coincides with center of semi-spheres and vertex of rotor ball sector. Outer surface of spherical semi-rings of vanes corresponds to surface of larger semi-sphere, and inner surface of spherical semi-rings of vanes corresponds to surface of smaller semi-sphere. Each vane has plate arcs whose sizes differ from those of other vanes. Number of vanes is not specified. EFFECT: increased reliability of engine. 3 cl, 3 dwg
