FIELD: mechanical engineering; valve timing gears. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to valve gears of internal combustion engines which can control timing phases depending on engine speed. It is aimed at increasing longevity and faultlessness of valve electrohydraulic control system owing to positive deceleration of valve travel at final stage of its lowering on seat. Proposed control system has delivery oil main, hydraulic pump, bypass and overflow hydraulic valves, hydraulic cylinder with housing, cover and piston with skirt, electromechanical hydraulic distributor-converter which has housing rod-spool movable capillary element rigidly connected with rod, and outlet hole. Housing of hydraulic cylinder is arranged in head of engine cylinder block. Cover of hydraulic cylinder is aligned with housing of hydraulic distributor. Outlet hole of hydraulic distributor is shifted to outer side beyond the limits of contact pattern of piston skirt o hydraulic cylinder with cover. Longitudinal slot with variable horizontal section area is made in upper part of hydraulic cylinder housing at inner side along axis of symmetry of rod-spool in direction of outlet hole of hydraulic distributor.
