Abstract RU 2171909 C1

FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; fuel mixture spark ignition systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has series LG-circuit formed by capacitor and inductance coil and connected directly in parallel with spark gap of spark plug. Natural frequency of LG-circuit lies within the range from 1 to 5 MHz. Parameters of circuit are chosen so as to maintain spark burning within 2 - 3 s by means of damped oscillations at its closing through spark gap. High-tension wire from ignition system is connected to point of connection of spark plug with LC- circuit through damping choke. EFFECT: increased plasma sheath around spark streamer without considerable increase of discharge energy. 2 cl, 2 dwg
