SUBSTANCE: ignition device designed for igniting light fuel mixtures in both new internal-combustion engines and operating ones being retrofitted incorporates spark plug that has body, insulator with central electrode, and ground electrode mounted on body so that spark gap is formed between this electrode and end of central electrode; area around spark gap is located inside internal conical surface expanding outward; ignition device is also provided with electrical energy storage capacitor mounted on spark plug; internal conical surface expanding outward is arranged on nozzle secured on spark-plug body; nozzle has channel to receive ground electrode and is made of alloy possessing low coefficients of thermal conductivity and linear expansion.
