FIELD: metal working, cutting tools such as cutters. SUBSTANCE: builtup cutter includes holder with slot in head and casing with seat for placing cutting insert. In order to enhance reliability of cutter and efficiency of its adjustment due to reliable basing and fastening of cutting insert, cutter is provided with self-braking wedge joined with lower side of holder window and with lower inclined plane of holder head. Casing has springy portion supporting seat in the form of dovetail. Cutting insert has stem in the form of wedge for joining with seat of yoke. Stem has in upper portion two inclined dents, one dent on each lateral surface. Said dents may engage with upper inclined plane in head of holder. Lateral sides of holder are mutually parallel and they are designed for joining with yoke. EFFECT: improved design. 2 dwg
