FIELD: sugar production. SUBSTANCE: diffusion juice undergoes progressive predefecation to pH 10.8-11.6 in predefecator. Predefecated juice is divided into two parts. One part (30- 50%) is saturated to pH 7.0-8.5 in upright tubular saturator and returned into predefecator section with corresponding pH value (7.0-8.5). The other part is heated to 90-95 C and degassed under depression 0.05- 0.07 MPa until temperature reaches 82-85 C. Degassed juice is supplemented by flocculant, namely acrylamide/sodium acrylate copolymer in amount 0.6-1.2 g per 1 t white beet and filtered at pressure 0.06-0.08 MPa to separate predefecation precipitate. Juice is then subjected to 1st and 2nd saturation and filtration. EFFECT: increased purification effect and thereby improved quality of diffusion juice. 1 tbl
