FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multifuel internal combustion engines with increased piston stroke and methods of their control by changing compression ratio by changing the positions of dead centers. To increase piston stroke force is applied to joint of articulated connecting rod to displace articulated connecting rod joint from axis of cylinder when piston reaches bottom dead center defined by radius of crankshaft crank and length of articulated connecting rod which cause change in position of bottom dead center and then joint is returned to cylinder axis. Change of compression ratio is attained by changing position of top dead center which is done when joint is returned to cylinder axis. Forming of action onto joint of articulated connecting rod is provided by shifting rocking axle of swing lever coupled with joint along straight line intersecting cylinder axis. Profiled cam mechanically coupled with crankshaft controls displacement of rocking axle of swing lever. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of engine control at different fuels used in engine. 12 cl, 17 dwg
