FIELD: metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has metal pouring vessel, rotary chute for stopping delivery of metal from intermediate ladle into crystallizer. Carrier with hollow bowl at its free end is pivotally fixed to chute. Rotary lever mounted on base has free end to which is fixed spherical tip for free insertion into carrier bowl. Pivot joint for connecting spherical tip to rotary lever is arranged in offset relation to vertical line extending through center of gravity of tip. Construction of apparatus allows manual work to be reduced in maintaining continuous casting machine. EFFECT: increased automation extent, simplified construction and increased efficiency. 3 dwg
