FIELD: mechanical engineering; exhaust systems. SUBSTANCE: proposed device has separating partition with swirler installed coaxially in housing and forming separation chamber in form of cylinder connected with drain main line. Output branch pipe and gas flow divider are installed at other end of housing. Outlet branch pipe and divider form variable size ring gas chamber together with smooth cylindrical part of separating partition. Ring-shaped slot clearance is formed between smooth cylindrical part of separating partition and gas flow divider. Size of clearance is adjusted by movable deflecting diaphragm made in form of truncated cone and arranged on outer surface of gas flow divider. Clearance is adjusted by means of adjusting screws on housing. Gas flow velocity inertial stabilizer is installed after swirler. Gas flow velocity stabilization chamber is formed at outlet of velocity stabilizer. Electromagnetic valves are installed in channels connecting gas ring chamber formed by outlet branch pipe and gas flow divider with central chamber and space of heat exchanger. Electromagnetic valves are controlled by command shaper connected with accelerator pedal. EFFECT: improved cleaning of exhaust gases, reduced toxicity and noise owing to individually tuning the device to engine parameters. 3 cl, 3 dwg
