SUBSTANCE: present invention is meant for trapping fine-dispersed and aerosol liquid and solid particles from a gas stream. The separator has a vertical cylindrical case with top and bottom ends, and a horizontal circular partition wall dividing the case into a vortex and an extra chamber. The vortex chamber is fitted with inlet and spill pipes, a deflector with a deflection plate, and separation packet with a trapping bag. The extra chamber is fitted with an outlet pipe, apparatus for trapping liquid and a hydraulic bag. The horizontal partition wall has cross-over and drain holes. In the fist version the vortex chamber is fitted with a bent drainage pipe, one end of which is attached to the bottom of the horizontal partition wall, and the second free end placed in the path of the swirling motion of the stream. In the second version the vortex chamber is fitted with drop-shaped cowlings, attached to the bottom of the horizontal partition wall, covering the drain hole, and provided with an opening at the bottom point, hydraulically linked with the drain hole. The free end of the drainage pipe is preferably put into a guide channel. The drainage pipe or cowling is put into a deflector or near the outlet of the deflector.

EFFECT: reduced amount of trapped liquid, located in the extra separation chamber, more complete and efficient removal of the liquid from this chamber.
