FIELD: heat engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention is related to gears and processes of burning of gaseous fuel with separate supply of gas and air, it can be utilized in heating systems of drying kilns, of heating, heat-treating and melting furnaces. Burner to burn up gaseous fuel is made of thin-walled body with heat-resistant chamber and combustion chamber with outlet nozzle located in it. Body has holes for supply of air from air chamber embracing body in zone of holes. Gas chamber is composed of external and internal chambers placed with clearance and interlinked by overflow branch pipes. Mixture-forming unit includes gas nozzle with central conduit and holes and internal gas chamber. Stabilizer in mounted in central conduit for axial movement, as well as vortex generator and ignition torch. Process of burning of gaseous fuel includes separate supply of air and fuel, preparation of ignition mixture, lighting up, forced mixing of gas-and-air mixture that is formed either in internal gas chamber or in central conduit and combustion chamber with change of parameters of gas and air. Parameters of jet of combustion products are regulated across outlet of burner by way of movement of stabilizer. EFFECT: increased efficiency of burning of gaseous fuel, expanded range of adjustment of thermal power, enhanced rate of escape of flame, simplified design and reduced usage of metal in manufacture of gas burner. 6 cl, 2 dwg
