FIELD: small-arms ammunition, in particular, sporting one mainly of caliber 5.6 mm, cartridges with deformable bullets. SUBSTANCE: in the given cartridge the cavity in the bullet head is made in the form of two truncated cones with a common base. The shape and the parameters of the cavity make it possible to draw together as mush as possible the moment of the beginning of billet deformation and the moment of attainment of the maximum pressure inside the cavity, which optimizes the process of deformation. EFFECT: enhanced stopping action of the cartridge bullet by 5-6 times as compared with the known bullets, reduced distance at which the bullet is dangerous for people, reduced consumption of materials for its manufacture by 20 to 25%. 2 dwg
