FIELD: geological, ecological and technological investigation of natural and man-made objects. SUBSTANCE: spectral analysis is conducted by method of " spilling-injection " with the aid of multielectrode arc excitation source of spectra. Multielectrode arc of unipolar current with one cathode electrode and several anode electrodes is used for complete evaporation of analyzed material. Ends of electrodes are located in horizontal plane spaced by 2.0 mm as minimum and jet of particles of analyzed material is directed on to ends of anode electrodes. Current in unipolar arcs exceeds 20.0 A. EFFECT: increased sensitivity and accuracy of analysis. 2 cl, 2 tbl
