FIELD: geological, ecological and technological investigations of natural and man-made objects. SUBSTANCE: weights of examined and standard samples are taken, spectral emission method of analysis with injection of powdery sample into arc discharge for element and phase analysis is employed. Jet of disintegrated particles of powdery sample is directed on to hot ends of electrodes where particles evaporate completely and hit plasma of discharge till hard-to-volatile elements evaporate totally. Periodic registration of radiation of plasma with synchronous collection of analytical signals in the course of 0.01 s as minimum is used for photoelectric registration of radiation of spectral lines of elements included into composition of individual particles and background radiation near them. Later collected signals are analyzed, signals characteristic of definite components are selected and used to plot calibration graphs. Sample can be mixed with buffer mixture to increase accuracy of method. EFFECT: increased accuracy of method. 4 cl
