METHOD AND DEVICE FOR EXAMINATION OF FUNCTIONAL CONDITION OF OCULOMOTOR SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2173079 C2

FIELD: medicine, in particular, ophthalmology, applicable for diagnosis of disturbances of the oculomotor system, as well as for control of optical correction of vision. SUBSTANCE: the method consists in the fact that for prevention of a probable error of coordimetry caused by deposition of the primary heterophoria on the induced anisophoria the diagnosis of the heterophoria is preliminarily carried out. The mentioned diagnosis is accomplished by introduction in the coordimeter screen of the central object in the form of a transparent circle with a non-transparent black disk in the middle that is common for both eyes. The mentioned object stimulates fusion and compensates for it with the aid of prisms from a test set or a prism compensator. The device for realization of the method has a screen with a coordimetric grid, spectacles with light filters painted in additional colors, and two projectors of the same colors. The coordimetric grid is made in the form of two combined tangential grids, one of which is in the form of squares, and the other - of meridians and parallels, positioned in the center of grid matching is the central object of gaze fixation in the form of a transparent circle with a non-transparent black disk in the middle. The dimensions of the sides of the cells of the screen coordimetric grids increase proportionally to the tangent of disposal of the peripheral mark with respect to the central point of gaze fixation. In addition, the device has gaze magnetic chips that are easily fixed and movable on the surface of the metal screen. EFFECT: enhanced accuracy, self-descriptiveness of the method of coordimetry and simplified procedure of examination. 2 cl, 1 dwg
