METHOD OF DIAGNOSING STATE OF OCULOMOTOR MUSCLES Russian patent published in 2013 - IPC A61B3/113

Abstract RU 2484760 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to ophthalmology. The test-object, which appears on the screen in alternating mode, is presented. Position of eye looks fixation on the test-object is determined in each its position. Determination of position of eye looks fixation is determined separately for each eye at binocular fixation of looks of both patient's eyes on the test-object. Distance between coordinates of position of points of fixation of eyes looks is taken as parameters, characterising state of oculomotor muscles. Distance in pixels, corresponding to the angle of deviation of look fixation point from the test-object position within 220 angular minutes, is taken as the normal one. The test-object is presented in alternating mode in the centre of computer screen and in not fewer than 8 points on its periphery with equal angles and with equal time periods. If vector-reflected distance between positions of look fixation points is greater than the norm, dysfunction of oculomotor muscle is diagnosed. Vector direction is used to assess expression of disorder of muscle functional state.

EFFECT: method increases diagnostics self-descriptiveness, which is achieved due to detection of different types of dysfunctions of oculomotor muscles.
