FIELD: oil producing industry; applicable in research of technical conditions of pipe strings in well repairs. SUBSTANCE: packer flexible member is secured to body from atop, and from below it is fastened to movable coupling-piston with pressure supplied from wellhead, coupling-piston moves upward and compresses flexible member to press it to well walls. There is system of control and recording of pressure variation in flexible member and pressure in well above flexible member and under it. There are limit pressure valve, pressure compensation chamber and system of automatic packer releasing. Flexible member body has longitudinal channels for hydraulic communication of flexible member with pressure compensation chamber and through channel of accommodation of transit line of electrical communication with transducers. Packer setting device is run into well to examine technical conditions of pipe string state and well by monitoring and recording of pressure variation above and under it during building up pressure at wellhead.
