FIELD: single-strand modular rolling mills for rolling elongated products. SUBSTANCE: modular rolling mill includes gear mechanisms GU1, GU2 mounted between selected rolling stands RU1, RU3, RU5 instead of other rolling stands RU2, RU4 removed out of rolling line for providing intervals in the whole rolling line. Each gear mechanism is joined with drive aggregate that was joined with respective removed rolling stand and it is arranged in such a way that to provide extension of driving line of rolling mill at that end in order to achieve the same revolution number of rolls of rolling stand being next after gear mechanism as in removed rolling stand. Gear mechanisms have water tanks or similar cooling devices 54,56 for lowering temperature of rolled piece when the last passes interval from one roll to next roll. It allows to mount additional cooling units without interruption of continuous driving line of modular rolling mill. EFFECT: improved arrangement of units of modular rolling mill. 2 cl, 6 dwg
