ROLLING MILL STAND Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: "housing free" stand of rolling mills. SUBSTANCE: "housing free" stand includes pair of rolling rolls mounted in bearing assemblies for rotation around mutually parallel axes. Bearing assemblies are mechanically engaged with nut members screwed on threaded portions of opposite ends of axles. Said axles are designed for controlling symmetrical drawing apart of rolls and for creating compensation loop absorbing repulsion efforts of rolls occurring at rolling process. Nut members and respective axles are not joined with bearing assemblies. It allows to remain them in rolling line as non-removable members at changing rolls. Invention provides possibility for changing rolls at small labor consumption while using minimum number of mounting attachments. EFFECT: improved design. 15 cl, 7 dwg
