FIELD: display engineering;. SUBSTANCE: proposed screen is designed for use in planar vacuum displays provided with electronic transistor system, filamentary cathodes, and flexible external leads and used to display information in the form of characters, signs, letters, and digits, namely alphanumeric, character-and-graphics, and television information for coding information color and synthesizing color in producing color screen. Screen has vacuum envelope incorporating face plate and insulating base; set of filamentary cathodes; row of anode electrodes deposited onto insulating base and made in the form of parallel phosphor- covered strips of at least one color which are connected by means of current-conducting tracks to external leads through contact pads; gate electrodes which are orthogonal to anode electrodes and form light- emitting segments; insulating frame that interconnects face plate and insulating base through sealed joint; projecting barriers made of insulating compound and arranged between anode electrodes to carry set of gate electrodes whose number depends on that of screen lines. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of screen and of gate electrode fixation in the latter. 1 dwg
