SUBSTANCE: screen designed for use in planar electric-input and optical-output cathode-ray tubes has face plate and substrate, set of filamentary cathodes, rows of anode electrodes deposited on substrate in the form of parallel phosphor-covered strips of at least one color connected by means of current-carrying tracks with external leads through contact pads, gate electrodes orthogonal to anode ones that form light-emitting segments, and insulating frame that connects face plate to substrate through sealed joint; gate electrodes are made in the form of edge strips with smaller face on insulating layer deposited on substrate and on anode electrodes at points of intersection of anode and gate electrodes. In addition, height of gate electrode (hge) and that of insulator (hins) are interrelated with width of anode electrode (Dae) and that of phosphor (Tph) by expressions .
