FIELD: mechanical engineering; rotary internal combustion engines, hydraulic motors, compressors or pumps. SUBSTANCE: rotary machine has housing consisting of two equal parts, and rotor with radial slots with fitted-in blades. Pressed graphite gasket is installed between housing halves. Rotor is made up of disks freely fitted on splined shaft and provided with radial slots on inner end face surface. Disks are provided with cover plates laid on their outer surface and made up of alternating thin resilient metal plates curved to suit outer contour of disk, and layers of material of high sliding properties, for instance, graphite- impregnated cloth. Plates are glued to form pack. Inner side surface of housing, outer side surface of rotor and outlines of blades adjoining inner side surface of housing are made spherical. EFFECT: improved reliability of sealing of interblade space, increased efficiency of machine, simplified design. 4 cl, 4 dwg
