FIELD: dairy cattle breeding. SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting an animal to the effect of conditioned and unconditioned stimulus while preparing the udder for milking. Then the cows are mechanically milked, then a limited portion of milk is hand-stripped uniformly from all udder quarters and the amount of milk and percentage of fat therein are determined. Animals are estimated by the amount of mechanically obtained milk during the first morning milking and of fat during the second afternoon mechanical milking and by the relation of fat percentage in the hand-stripped milk to the percentage of fat in the mechanically produced milk separately for both milkings. The stimulus functions throughout the milking. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
