FIELD: metallurgy, possibly cooling elongated rolled pieces. SUBSTANCE: apparatus includes pumping jet unit, cooling chamber formed by successively arranged tubular odd and even guides. Even guides are placed in coaxial casing at forming between them ducts joined with cavity of odd guide. Each duct is provided with chamber for feeding cooling agent joined with duct by means of wall made of high heat conductivity material. Total cross section area of ducts and cross section of even guide consists 0.6-0.95 of area of cross section of odd guide. EFFECT: optimal heat transfer from ducts, stable conditions for cooling rolled stock along the whole length of cooling chamber. 3 cl, 2 dwg
