METHOD OF OIL FIELD DEVELOPMENT Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

FIELD: oil producing industry, particularly, methods of development of oil fields with dense drilling of well stock. SUBSTANCE: method includes drilling of additional wells on areas selected on basis of analysis of maps of initial recoverable oil reserves with maximum residual oil-saturated thickness; additional measurement of formation pressure in wells; construction of map of pressure isolines for determination of location of undrained and slightly drained oil reserves. Drilling of additional wells is carried out on areas combining maximum residual oil saturated thicknesses with minimal drainage degree. Use is made of mathematical modelling of development process. For this purpose, average annual production rate and data on well geological and physical characteristics of concrete areas of field are used. Distribution of pressure variations in formation is obtained and compared with real value. Corrections are introduced to correlate the mathematical model with real situations and distribution of pressure close to real are obtained.
