FIELD: fiber optics. SUBSTANCE: method involves drawing fiber, applying polymer coating, and keeping light guide at 100-150 C in atmosphere of dry gas, which is then saturated with silicon tetrachloride vapors and temperature is lowered to normal value. Resultant fiber light guides are fit for communication lines between mobile objects. EFFECT: increased manufacture productivity and improved characteristics of light guides.
