TWO-COORDINATE VERTICAL DEVIATION ANGLE SENSOR Russian patent published in 2001 - IPC

Abstract RU 2175755 C2

FIELD: instrumentation engineering; determination of angles of vertical deviation. SUBSTANCE: proposed sensor has body with spherical chamber filled with two immiscible liquids of different density. First radiator and ultrasound receiver are located in its upper portion at angle of 45 deg. relative to plane of base and second radiator and ultrasound receiver are located in its lower portion in plane perpendicular to plane of location of first radiator and receiver. Radiators are connected with generator output and receivers are connected to preliminary signal processing modules whose outputs are connected with inputs of amplitude detectors. Liquid interface is used as ultrasound reflector. EFFECT: possibility of measuring angle of deviation from vertical at two axes simultaneously. 1 dwg
