FIELD: preparation of natural gas for ammonia production. SUBSTANCE: method of processing natural gas for ammonia production comprises flooding off natural gas under pressure, throttling the gas, combusting it as fuel, heating the gas, hydrogenating the gas, sulfur purification using flowsheet of reforming process of ammonia production until 30-45% of natural gas supplied at pressure of 3.8-5.0 MPa being throttled, and burned as fuel, and after filtration, remaining part of natural gas is directed for heating purposes using heat of waste gases of reforming furnace in production process. EFFECT: lower energy consumption using no complicated units such as compressor and natural gas preheater in flow sheet, and full use of all natural gas components. 1 dwg
