FIELD: electrotechnical industry, more particularly treatment of steel for making electroinsulating coatings. SUBSTANCE: composition comprising, wt %: phosphate-ions (calculated for (P2O5), 22.8-25.9; magnesium ions ((Mg+2)), 1.73-2.4; aluminium ions ((Al+3)), 0.84-1.34; boron ions (calculated for B2O3)), 0.11-0.17; fluosilicic acid, 8.12-13.72; polyoxyethylated ether or oxyethylated monoalkyl phenols based on propylene trimers, 0.01-0.18 and water, the balance. Use of claimed composition makes it possible to improve technological properties of composition, uniformity of coating, physico-mechanical parameters thus allowing for good parameters of magnetic circuits of electric machines, transformers and instruments.
